27. 11월 27일(토)     ‘하나님이 역사의 주관자이시다’     합 1:1-17

본문 관찰과 묵상

     하박국은 정의가 상실된 유다왕국의 죄악과 패역과 겁탈과 강포를 왜 보고만 있느냐고 항의하였다. 하나님은 사납고 성급한 바벨론을 들어 유다를 심판하시겠다고 대답하셨다. 이에 하박국은 하나님이 어찌하여 악한자들을 들어서 무자비하게 열방을 멸망시킬수 있느냐며 더 세게 항의하였다.   

QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성

     바벨론이 앗수르를 멸망시켰다.  그리고 이제 유다 왕국을 심판하는 도구로 하나님이 쓰실 것이다. 도저히 이해가 되지 않는 일들이 역사속에서 계속 일어나고 있다.  이것이 하나님의 절대주권의 역사이다.  하나님은 택한 백성을 연단하여 구원하기 위하여 강국들을 통하여 오늘도 역사하신다.

결단과 적용

     작금의 세계정세도 이해할수 없는 가운데 흘러가고 있다. 거기에 covid 19 이라는 전염병으로 강국들도 힘없이 무너져 내리고 있다.  세계 모든 나라들이 무너져 내리고 있다. 절대주권자 하나님이 지금 일하시고 계신다. 이 가운데에서 믿음으로 살아가는 의인을 주님은 찿고계신다. ‘의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라’(합 2:4).  

27. Nov 27 (Sat) QT.   ‘God is the ruler of the human history’ Hab. 1:1-17

Observation and meditation on the text

     Habakkuk the prophet pleaded against God’s tolerance at injustice prevailed in Judah such as wrongdoings, destruction, violence, strife, and conflict.  God answered to the prophet that God would judge Judah by raising up the Babylonians who were ruthless and impetuous people.  Habakkuk the prophet was astonished by God’s answer, and he resisted God’s plan because of the way God would judge all nations by raising up such a merciless wicked people.

I hear the voice of the Lord through QT

     Babylonians destroyed Assyrians.  And God would use the Babylonians as God’s instrument to judge the people of Judah.  Such unimaginable things are happening continuously in human history.  It is the history of the sovereign God’s rule.  Even today, God raises up strong nations to discipline God’s chosen people to save them.

Decisions and applications

     Today’s world is flowing by such unimaginable political ways.  In addition to that Covid 10 has impacted even strong countries to perish uncontrollably.  All nations are suffering and perishing.  The sovereign God is at work.  God searches for the righteous among them.  ‘The righteous person will live by his faithfulness’ (Hab. 2:4).
