4. 12월 4일(토) ‘교회에서 엄히 명하여 금지시킬 것은?’ 딤후 2:14-19

본문 관찰과 묵상

     바울은 디모데 에게 견고한 터인 주님의 교회가 세워졌는데 악성종양 같은 이단은 엄히 책망하여 버리라고 명령하였다. 영지주의가 들어와 특별한 깨달음으로 이미 자신들은 영적으로 부활하였다 하며 바울이 전하는 육체의 부활을 거부하였다.

QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성

     악성종양 같은 이단의 가르침은 듣는자 들을 망하게 하는 것이다. 성도는 진리의 말씀을 분별하여 자신을 주님께 드려야 한다. 망령되고 허탄한 말, 즉 악성 종양 같은 말을 퍼트리는 후메내오와 빌레도의 이름이 공개되었다.  이단은 교회에서 공개적으로 발본색원하라는 것이다. 

결단과 적용

     사랑은 무조건 다 받아주는 것이 아니다. 악성 종양은 도려내야 한다.  이단은 받으면 않된다.  듣는자들을 망하게 한다.  헛된 말은 불 경건으로 나가게 한다.  퍼져나가 다른 성도들을 오염시킨다.  특별한 깨달음으로 완전 자유함을 얻었다는 영지주의의 이단은 오늘도 교회를 어지럽힌다.  그 불의에서 떠나야 한다.

    II Tim. 2:14-19

Observation and meditation on the text

     Paul commanded Timothy to warn any heretic teaching which could spread like gangrene in the church of Jesus Christ, who was established upon the solid foundation of the living word of God.  Some Gnostics had infiltrated into church, and they rejected the bodily resurrection of the believers which was preached by Paul because they claimed that they had already possessed special spiritual understanding.

I hear the voice of the Lord through QT

     The teachings of any heretics can cause the destruction of the hearers because it can deeply ruin their faith like gangrene.  Therefore, Christian believers should discern the false teachings against the biblical teachings to present themselves as living sacrifices to the Lord.  Such Gnostics as Hymenaeus and Philetus were publicly rebuked to warn the church because they spread false teachings in the church.  In short, any heretics and their teachings should be uprooted from the church.    

Decisions and applications

     Church should not accept any heretics in the name of love.  False teachings should be uprooted out of church because it will cause corruption like gangrene.  Church should not allow any false teachings because it will destroy the hearers.  Godless chatters will lead the believers into godlessness.  It will contaminate the entire people in any community like gangrene.   Even today the Gnostic false teachings destroy the spiritual order of church by misleading the believers into a false expectation for possession of mysterious spiritual experiences which never go along with the living word of God.   Believers should stay away from any form of godlessness.
